As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Regional Manager to join our Operations Management Team with responsibility for clients and sites across Scotland & Northern Ireland.

What are we looking for?

– An experienced and motivational Manager, ideally with experience from within the Car Parking Industry.

– Someone able and willing to coach, develop & mentor an established team, to drive performance and increase productivity within the region.

– A qualified driver who must be able to meet the Highway Code eyesight test requirements. Candidates must be able to read a vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres (65 feet) in good daylight, as stipulated by UK legislation. This is to ensure that all our drivers can perform their duties safely and in compliance with legal standards.

The role

Whilst our Head Office is based in Chelmsford, you will be home based covering Scotland & Northern Ireland. As such, there is a requirement to travel across both your area and the UK in general, including attending regular meetings at Head Office, and as a result a full clean driving licence is required.

Reporting into the Ops Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic development of your region, ensuring it meets both business and client expectations. You will have full responsibility for your P&Ls, and as such financial awareness is key, along with the ability to identify cost saving and growth opportunities in order to maximise the return on performance from your team and area. With your team, which includes leadership and operational personnel, you will manage your portfolio of car park sites across Scotland & NI, including ANPR, DPC, Pay & Display, Max Stay sites etc.

We are ideally looking for someone from either the Car Park Management Industry or with a Retail background, with proven experience operating at a Senior level. You must have a passion and drive for continuous improvement, have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, want to be a leader within a forward thinking organisation, be able to think ‘outside of the box’, have the ability to multi-task and have excellent prioritisation skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the team in delivering key element of the Regional Business Plan.
  • Developing business opportunities.
  • Managing client relationships at a local level and supporting our Sales and Customer Service Teams based at head office.
  • Liaising with external agencies and authorities.
  • Achieving given KPI’s and objectives, both individually and as a Region.
  • Manage team site visit schedules, ensuring that whilst client needs are met, they are done in the most optimal and efficient way both in terms of time and cost.
  • Ensure team members are complying with Parking Charge Notice policy and procedure, with PCNs being issued properly in line with site specific rules and regulations with no data breaches.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, contractors and other partners.
  • Ensuring equipment within your area is maintained, with all defects immediately reported.
  • Enforcing health and safety, security and emergency systems according to company policies.
  • Recruiting, managing and developing staff according to company policies and procedures.
  • Planning and implementing advertising and promotional strategy and activities.
  • Managing given projects to meet client expectations, i.e. new site roll outs, Christmas marshalling activities etc.
  • Conducting annual team appraisals and the development of Personal Development Plans.
  • Managing disciplinary and grievance processes, as directed by the HR Team.
  • Maintaining policy and procedure standards across your region, dealing with none-conformances as necessary.
  • Scheduling and complete Site Inspection Reports and Risk Assessment Reports.
  • Complying with Health and Safety Legislation, Fire Regulations, British Parking Association Code of Practice and Parking Charge Notice Procedures.
  • Complying with Data Protection, GDPR and IT Security policies and procedures, ensuring team members do the same and any breaches are handled in line with company policy.
